Overview
This Deltek University training class offers a detailed instruction of the Deltek COBRA software system and the context to the way the system supports a real world earned value management system. The curriculum and content have been written and delivered by consultants with years of experience implementing COBRA as part of a complete earned value management system (EVMS). Trainees will learn how to set up COBRA, integrate with the project master schedule and manage the system in accordance with ANSI 748 standards.

- See and overview of COBRA 5 and navigation system
- Learn how to set up a new programme with WBS, OBS, Calendars and codes
- Learn how to set up and calculate rates and resources
- Create the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Learn how to use Level of Effort
- Learn how to load the IMS with budgets into COBRA
- Go through the monthly update cycle
- Calculate the earned value and forecasts
- Load actual costs into COBRA, cleanse the data and manage errors and warnings
- Understand how to run COBRA EVM reports
The course material consists of:
- A detailed 500 page booklet on COBRA processes with exercises
- A set of load files, example basic reports, demo projects and basic scripts
- A tailored set of slides highlighting key learning
