Project: Create Sustaining Projects Team
Client: Fortescue Metals Group
Project Duration: 2009-2011
Project Value: $150m/per annum
In 2009, LogiKal was commissioned to lead a team to develop the processes, procedures and system to run the Sustaining Capital Projects Portfolio for Fortescue Metals.
In Phase I, LogiKal Projects provided consultancy services to develop the conceptual structure for the Sustaining Capital Works Portfolio and assisted the client in obtaining internal management approval for the new Sustaining Projects Team.
In Phase II, once the team was sanctioned, we helped recruit and manage the initial team and led the development of core processes and procedures, engaged the wider project and operations team to get support for the new processes.
Project Controls systems and templates were also created and implemented during this phase. A key element of this process was to ensure alignment with existing and future business needs outside the project environment.
In Phase III an integrated Delivery team was established and LogiKal Projects was invited to contribute key resources into the team, working alongside FMG staff and Worley Parsons.
